Use Free Subscription for the course, unless you really want to try some more complicated things out (not mandatory in the course) that need more computational resources or privileges.
One aspect that may annoy you is the memory and CPU limits of the Jupyter server. The recorded 2022 summer course had indeed paid Visualization Learner privilege for students to use the Jupyter Notebook environment more smoothly. For Free Subscription, please kindly be patient for possibly slower response, stay with lower memory usage or retry with restarting the server, not be able to try out the effect for multicore processing, and perhaps skip parts suffering repeated failure due to running out of memory.

or see individual items like Jupyter Server memory and CPU in the “My Subscription” page in your account. The design of the subscription levels are: Starters are for hobbyists or STEM education. Visualization Learners and Simulation Learners are for university level learners. Standard is for enterprise usage. You are advised to practice your usage skill in the Free or lower subscription level first and avoid wastage of computational resources - servers consume more electric power under computational load and these are carbon footprint.
